 We can ship your container to all destinations all over the world.
This holds true for both "liners owned" and "shippers owned" containers. The amount may vary from one single container to an entire batch.
In this case we will handle for you:
- The preliminary transport of the empty container to your loading location.
- The bill of lading and, if you wish, documentation and custom clearance, delivery at the port of departure.
- Transfer and shipment of the loaded container to the port of destination.
- If needed also the subsequent transport from the port of destination to your final destination.
Working with purchased containers may have many advantages above working with lease containers:
- You can control handling of your container at any time, e.g. deciding to delay shipment when the goods are already loaded in the container, or on the place of destination having to await unloading or taking into use the goods.
- Purchasing a shippers owned container, you are able to go on using it after unloading, e.g. for another shipment, for local storage, or reselling it.
- A ship owners’ container after having been unloaded has to be returned to the port, which may cause additional high costs.
- Ship owners generally allow free disposal of the container only for a limited number of days, after which you are to pay "detention costs". These may amount up to US $ 40,-- a day.
- When you return the unloaded container at the ship owner’s there will be an "estimate" of the container and you will be accountable for the costs of cleaning and any repairs for dents, floor plate damage and other damages that may be found.
