1. Transport systems
These systems serve to adapt the container—in fact of maritime origins—for everyday road transport .
Globally there are three, highly standardised versions:
- Cable system; with this system the container may be elevated from the front, as well as from the backside. This practical system is the most economical to acquire and to mount.
- Hook arm system; raises the container from one side
Chain system; raises container from one side
These systems may also be combined, so as to enable the containers to be elevated by various truck types. The systems are produced and mounted in the company’s workshop, but on request they may also be supplied as loose units.
2. Paint spraying
We will spray any container in one or more RAL-colours according to your wish.
3. Locks
We supply basically three kinds of locks:
- Discus lock :
With this lock both doors can be locked from the right door side, simply and without any need for adaptation.
- Bar lock :
This lock is applied on both doors from the outside.
The bar lock consists of a fixed part and a movable lock bar.
When the bar is inserted, a small secure space is formed, in which it can be locked by means of a padlock.
- Strongbox lock :
Two parts of an iron strongbox are welded each on one door.
Closing the doors completes the strongbox.
This houses a certified lock, supplied with two certified keys. These keys may only be ordered using the special ID card supplied with the lock.
4. Container wicket doors
Basically we can supply four types of wicket doors:
- Standard container door :
A single-wand steel door with a closing bar, to be locked by means of a padlock; simple, economical and sturdy.
Build-in dimensions: 200*100 cm.
- The Hörmann door:
This is an insulated door with door handle and a lock; a good door for a good price.
Build-in dimensions:
- Insulated door:
This door has additional thermal insulation for refrigerator containers and is provided with heat tracing in order to avoid its freezing shut.
Build-in dimensions:
- Escape door :
This is effectively the above-mentioned Hörmann door, but it is provided with a panic bar, or a special handle that can only be activated from the inside.
Build-in dimensions:
5. Electricity :
An electric installation may be built in, according to the customer’s wishes and in compliance with the regulations.
From simple (e.g. only lighting) to extensive systems, with main switch, fuses, wall outlets, heating, etc.
6. Floors :
A steel or aluminium floor may be applied, either covering an already existing wooden floor, or removing the wooden floor before installing a watertight floor.
The floor is welded to be watertight and provided with a ledge on the front side.
This way leaking or dripping liquids will be collected. We may additionally install a removable grid floor so as to collect all leaked materials under it.
7. Partition walls :
Partitions may be executed with a single or a double wall, with or without insulation, in wood or steel, according to the customer’s wish. In the partition wall a standard Hörmann door or a wooden internal door may be mounted, with or without lock.
8. Racks and workbenches :
The container may be provided with various types of racks containing shelves with various depths, in various executions and with various carrying capacities.
Also the incorporation of a workbench, deliverable in varying versions, is possible.
9. Apertures :
We can apply several modifications.
E.g. a round or square lead-through for an electric cable may be applied in a floor or in a wall .
An aperture may be carried out in a container wall for the installation of a window or door. This aperture will be surrounded with a box profile in order to deviate mechanical forces and to obtain a tension free mounting of window or door.
In the same way air outlets or inlets can be applied.
The resulting aperture will subsequently be finished with a laminated grid.
10. Insulation & boarding up :
Steel containers may be boarded up at the inside, with or without insulation.
In the non-insulated version the wall plates will be glued to the container wall.
In the insulated version flooring wood is mounted on metal strips on the container wall, with a subsequent layer of insulating material and a wall plate at the customer’s choice. Also a fire resistant layer may be applied.
One option is to install a front directly behind the two externally opening container doors, fitted with a wicket door and a window.
Another option is to mount polyurethane sandwich panels to the walls, the ceiling and the doors.
These are to be fixed with aluminium strips.
